This year, in our offices in Lublin, Lodz, Poznan and Warsaw, a charity fundraiser took place for the patients of the Home Hospice in Poznan.
The Home Hospice patients are mainly children with severe, often incurable diseases and sick elderly people who require 24-hour care. The Hospice staff tries to help them in a difficult situation, prevent the development of diseases and relieve pain.
In Gfi Poland we decided to help them. For about 3 weeks we were collecting donations and packages with gifts. Moreover, in order to encourage our employees to participate in the fund-raising we organized a few actions: Christmas lottery, Christmas market and an auction of beautiful ornaments, which were put up by the Board. The actions enjoyed the interest of our employees and turned out to be a great success. We did not expect that we would manage to collect such a sum!
With some of the collected funds we bought gifts for children, hygienic aids (creams, wet wipes, etc.) and even medical equipment such as a portable suction device.
Once again, we would like to thank all our colleagues from Gfi Poland for the huge support of the co fundraising. We learned that the collected funds will be used to finish new rooms for the patients at the Home Hospice in Poznan.
